The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is inviting residents interested in sitting on the Seniors Advisory Committee to submit in writing a letter outlining their interest and intent for the Committee. Individuals are asked to also submit a resume, biography and/or backgrounder outlining relevant experience and qualifications, as well as any other pertinent information.
The role of the Seniors Advisory Committee is to serve as a liaising body between Town Council and the seniors of Happy Valley-Goose Bay. The Committee will seek to enhance the quality of life of seniors in the town through the identification of barriers, as well as act as a public forum for issues affecting seniors. The Committee will make recommendations regarding services that fall within the mandate of the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay as set forth by the Municipalities Act 1999 with respect to the following: public works, public safety, recreation, and economic development.
