Husky Park Outdoor Skate Rink
Closed for the Season

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Department of Community Services & Recreation advises residents that the Husky Park Outdoor Skate Rink & Walking Path is officially CLOSED for the season.
Opened on March 2, 2022, it was clear that users of this amazing facility thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor skating atmosphere along with the adjacent walking path that circled the perimeter of the skating rink.
It is unfortunate that seasonal weather conditions forced a closure earlier than hoped. The Town hopes to begin the process of transforming the Husky Park facility into an outdoor rink and walking path earlier in the 2022/2023 Winter Season, especially if weather conditions allow.
Residents are also advised that CSR Staff are monitoring daily the conditions at the Kinsmen Park Walking Path. To date, the staff feels the facility is still usable and the current schedule (9:00 AM to 9 PM Daily) will remain in effect and is subject to change based on seasonal weather conditions and the impact on the walking path.
The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Department of Community Services & Recreation along with the Department of Public Works staff were pleased to be able to bring you this amazing outdoor facility and look forward to an even better facility in Winter 2022/2023.
