HVGB Fire Department Receives Donation from
Vale Canada

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Fire Department services the Upper Lake Melville area, including 150kms on the Trans-Labrador Highway. The Department of over 40 Firefighters provides fire and emergency services within town limits.

Essentially, the Fire Department is very active, Which makes having constant training and having the required equipment necessary.

In 2020 The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Fire Department received a donation from Vale Canada.

The Fire Department utilized the donation totaling $20,000.00 towards the purchase of a new set of Genesis battery-powered extrication rescue tools.

 As shown in the photos, the Fire Department is already utilizing the new tools in its many training scenarios.

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay joins the Happy Valley-Goose Bay Fire Department in offering sincere gratitude for the generous support shown by Vale Canada.
