The Fire Department utilized the grant totaling $13,200.00 for their “Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Upgrade Project.” SCBA is a must-have piece of equipment for Fire Fighters, and the grant provided by the International Grenfell Association was essential in seeing the project dream becoming a reality.

As shown in the photos, the SCBA’s are placed in the new Rapid Response Unit “Rescue 1”, which just went into service in November of 2020.

The Happy Valley-Goose Bay Fire Department has prominently displayed the International Grenfell Association Logo on the Rural Response Vehicle in appreciation of the grant.
