Planned Water Interruption

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay would like to advise the public of planned major upgrades to the Sand Hill Reservoir that will impact the Valley Area of Town. Work will commence on Monday, August 5th, 2019 and is expected to continue into the second week of August. The upgrades are necessary to replace aging pumps, valves, and electrical at the Sand Hill Reservoir. Water restrictions will be in place and enforced to ensure water availability. The Splash Pad at Kinsmen Park will be off during times of water restrictions. Residents will also experience times of low water pressure in the system during the upgrade period.
There will be one major interruption of water services to the entire Valley area of Town (starting from Voisey Drive / Mealy Mountain Collegiate) beginning Monday, August 5th at 11:00 pm to Tuesday, August 6th at 11:00 am. The Town will give as much notice as possible if and when further interruptions are required. A Boil Water Advisory will immediately follow the water interruption under a separate announcement.
This Water Interruption will not affect MOT (Hamilton Heights, Spruce Park, 5 Wing Goose Bay, or Northside (Canadian Side).
The Town would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may cause; however, it is necessary to limit future interruptions.
