Members of 5 Wing Participate in Victory March 2021!
May 3, 2021 – Goose Bay – Canadian Armed Forces
5 Wing Goose Bay would like to advise the public that members of 5 Wing Goose Bay will be participating in Victory March 2021 on May 4 and 5, 2021 beginning at 10:00 a.m.
You will see the marchers along the side of the road around town as they take part in this event, please slow down and if safe to do so, give them some room.
This year would have been Canada’s 69th year of providing a marching contingent in the annual International Four Days Marches Nijmegen (4DAAGSE). However, as our Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Joint Task Force (JTF) Nijmegen members were preparing to participate in the 104th edition of this historic march in the Netherlands, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic led to its cancellation for the second year in a row. The Victory March was designed to keep the spirit of this event alive!
5 Wing Goose Bay is committed to the safety and security of all persons who work, live and play on the base. We ask that you please respect speed limits and give the marchers extra room and consideration.
