This month across the Globe, awareness is being shared on the importance of Breast Cancer Awareness.
This year’s theme is “No one should face breast cancer alone” and servers as a reminder for providers to consider the many ways they can partner with patients and families in the prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer.
Awareness is key to promoting breast conservation, breast reconstruction, and less aggressive treatments which is why October is observed as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is proud to help lead the way in promoting Breast Cancer Awareness and in a ceremony held at Town Hall, Mayor George Andrews along with members of the 13th Council of Happy Valley-Goose Bay signed a Proclamation declaring October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. .
