Pet Safety – Dog & Cat Regulations

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Municipal Enforcement Department is reminding the community on the importance of Pet Safety and the Town’s Animal Control Regulations.

 

The Town’s Municipal Enforcement Department (which includes Animal Control) continues to investigate multiple complaints and violations of the Town’s Dog/Cat Regulations. Owners who violate the regulations are subject to fines and seizure/impoundment of the animal.

Pet owners are reminded that if walking their pet on trails, they are to be tethered at all times the same as if they were walking alongside the road.

 

The Town is concerned for the safety of its residents, as well as the roaming/loose animal. We are encouraging members of the public to use a “report it before you post it” approach for any violations to the Town’s Municipal Enforcement Department Complaints Line at 896-3322 or by email to complaints@townhvgb.com
