The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay and communities throughout Newfoundland and Labrador are pleased to celebrate June as Recreation Month.
His Worship Mayor Wilson (Wally) Andersen and members of the 12th Council of the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay signed a Proclamation declaring the month of June 2021 as ‘Recreation Month” in the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
Recreation Month draws public attention to recreation’s essential benefits and values to individuals, families, and communities. The primary goal of Recreation Month is to raise awareness around recreation and its many benefits.
Now more than ever, it is important to remember that recreation is all activities that bring health and wellness to your life! You can enjoy those recreational activities from the comforts of your home/ backyard/ neighbourhood.
