For more than four decades, Scouts and Guides have celebrated Scout-Guide Week nationwide. Scout-Guide Week has become a celebration of its roots as a Movement and a week to come together in recognition of their similar integrity and empowerment of youth leadership.
From February 16th-23rd, 2020, Scouts and Guides across Canada will continue to appreciate one another, and their programs built on the foundation of shared values.
The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is proud to help raise awareness of the Scout – Guide organizations and recognize the many benefits to not only our youth but to the community at large.
In a Noon hour ceremony held at Town Hall, His Worship, Mayor Wilson (Wally) Andersen and members of the 12th Council of Happy Valley-Goose Bay signed a Proclamation Proclaiming February 16 to 23, 2020 as Scout – Guide Week in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
Members of the Happy Valley-Goose Bay Sparks, Cubs and Scouts were also on hand for the ceremony.
