The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay will be holding a key hand-over event for the newly acquired pumper (fire) truck. The truck will replace one that has serviced the Upper Lake Melville region since 1978 and will greatly enhance fire response in the community.

This event will take place on Friday, October 9th at 12:00 p.m. at the Town Fire Station, located on Hamilton River Road next to the Town Hall. The Honourable Keith Russell, Minister of Labrador and Aboriginal Affairs and MHA for Upper Lake Melville; Mayor Jamie Snook; and Fire Chief Carl Oldford will be present for this event.

Members of the public and media are invited to attend.
