Sharing Our Cultures 2022

March 24, 2022
“Sharing Our Cultures” Sharing Our Cultures Incorporated is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting the values of multiculturalism and intercultural relations. The organization engages culturally diverse school children and youth in curriculum-based activities that foster respect, acceptance, and a sense of belonging in Canada. That was certainly evident on the morning of Thursday, March 24, 2022, at the Lawrence O’Brien Art Centre.
For the fourth year Sharing Our Cultures has organized a truly multi-cultural event showcasing their cultures in celebration of multiculturalism month here in Newfoundland and Labrador.
During the opening, His Worship, Mayor George Andrews offered greetings and remarks on behalf of the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Mayor Andrews highlighted that Happy Valley-Goose Bay since its humble beginnings have always been a truly multi-cultural community and that is one of our main strengths.
The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is proud to have been a part of this wonderful event and we thank Sharing Our Cultures Project Coordinator, Precious Ann for inviting us and allowing us to be involved.
