Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Snow Clearing Update
March 11, 2015
The following snow clearing update is provided by the Department of Public Works:
Scraping and widening of streets continues. The following is scheduled for today: One snow blower and grader will be working in the Valley area; the other snow blower and grader will be working in Spruce Park.
If possible, residents are asked to avoid these areas as you may encounter delays with equipment operating.
Once a street is scraped, the blower follows to remove the scraped materials. Please be aware there may be a delay before the blower catches up. A loader is also used to remove the excess scraped materials.
Fire hydrants are being exposed as streets are being scraped and widened.
Crews continue to work from 8:00am to midnight. It is anticipated it will take another week to complete these operations.
