Town & CUPE Local 2019 Reach Agreement

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay wishes to advise that the Collective Bargaining process conciliation stage between the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay and its unionized workforce, CUPE Local 2019, have resulted in an agreement. The agreement, although tentative, has the support of both sides.
The 12th Council of Happy Valley-Goose Bay will ratify its support of the agreement in a Special Meeting of Council at 12:05 PM, Monday, May 10, 2021. The Special Meeting of Council will be live-streamed via the Town’s Facebook page.
Both the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay and CUPE Local 2019 have agreed not to provide any further detail or comment until the agreement has been formally signed at a date to be determined.
