Town Lowers Flags in Honour of George Floyd

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, like most of the world, was stunned and saddened to learn of and bear witness to the senseless act that caused the death of Minneapolis resident, George Floyd.
The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay prides itself on being a community that thrives on being diverse. As a community, we must join the world in the condemnation of inequality and intolerance.
The 12th Council, Management, and Staff of the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay offer sincere condolences to the family and friends of George Floyd.
In honour of his life, and support of the Black Lives Matter movement, flags in front of Town Hall will fly at half-mast until after the Saturday, June 6, 2020, Memorial Service to take place in Raeford, North Carolina.
