Town Lowers Flags in Honour of Paul Tsibidis

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is saddened to have learned of the passing of long-time resident, and community pioneer, Paul Tsibidis.
Paul Tsibidis, known to many as “Paul the Greek” was elected as a Councillor in 1969 to the Third Council of the Town of Happy Valley (prior to amalgamation).
In 2005, he was elected to the Ninth Council of the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
He was a respected member of the business community and well known by many, the family-owned and operated El Greco’s is still in operation today, decades after the Tsibidis family first opened its doors.
The 13th Council, Management, and Staff of the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay offer sincere condolences to his family and friends.
In honour of Paul Tsibidis’s dedication to the community of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, flags in front of Town Hall will fly at half-mast until sunset on the day of his service.
