Traffic Disruption – Water Line Repairs
Hamilton River Road (adjacent to MOT / Hamilton Heights area)

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Public Works Department is advising residents and businesses that due to an unexpected break in the Water Distribution Line on Hamilton River Road (adjacent to Hamilton Heights / MOT area), necessary repairs will commence on the morning of May 25, 2020, this area will experience traffic disruptions beginning around 8:00 AM Monday, May 25, 2020. Water Distribution will be shut off at 9:00 AM in order to complete the necessary repairs.
Areas to be affected are:
- Hamilton River Road (from the Bargain Shop to Uncle Erns)
- Burwood Drive (both sides of street)
- Cherrywood Drive (both sides of street)
- Loring Drive (both sides of street)
The Public is further advised that residences and businesses in and around this area MAY experience a loss of water or lower than usual water pressure during this timeframe and possible discoloration of water. If you notice water discoloration, please runs taps until the water runs clear. Residents in and around the affected areas listed above may already be experiencing water discoloration; if so, please runs taps until water coloration clears.
Upon completion of repairs to the Water Distribution Line, a Boil Water Advisory will be in effect. The Town will issue a follow-up notice to that effect.
Town Crews will have all applicable Safety Signage visible, and motorists are encouraged to exercise caution in and around the area.
