Water Line Repairs cause Unexpected Water Loss for Loring Drive & Other Areas

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Public Works Department is advising residents and businesses that an unexpected Water Disruption has occurred on both sides of Loring Drive in relation to ongoing repairs to the Water Line Repairs at the intersection of Hamilton River Road and Bowel Street, necessary repairs are underway and Town Crews are working to rectify the situation.

 

The Public is further advised that residences and businesses in the Loring Drive area MAY have already experienced a loss of water or lower than usual water pressure and possible discoloration of water, this may also affect surrounding areas such as:

 

  • Hamilton River Road – Bowell Street Intersection to Provincial Government Labrador Affairs Secretariat Building
  • Burwood Drive
  • Cherrywood Drive

 

Upon completion of repairs to the Water Distribution Line, a Boil Water Advisory will be in effect. The Town will issue a follow-up notice to that effect.
