2020 Winterlights Decorating Contest

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Department of Community Services & Recreation is pleased to announce that the Winterlights Decorating Contest is back for 2020!
This year we are announcing the annual tradition earlier to encourage residents and businesses alike to jump in and brighten up our community like never before.
Judging has been extended into this weekend (December 18, 19, & 20) and will take place in the evening after 5:00 PM, so make sure your properties are lit up!
Residential Category – New for 2020, we will have a prize for first, second and third place as the ‘best decorated in each of the below-listed areas Residents are not required to register for the contest.
- Spruce Park
- MOT/Hamilton Heights
- Upper Valley
- Lower Valley
Residential Category – Best Decorated Prizes:
1st Place – $200.00 Gift Card
2nd Place – $150.00 Gift Card
3rd Place – $100.00 Gift Card
Business Category – The Business with the ‘best lit’ exterior and facade will receive one hour of free ice time for their staff in the New Year at the EJ Broomfield Memorial Arena!
Businesses must register to be judged in the 2020 contest. If you would like to register your business, please email pr@townhvgb.com
The Town will announce Residential and Commercial winners on the municipality’s website and official Facebook and Twitter account on Monday, December 21, 2020.
